Dimensional Regularisation and Factorisation Schemes in the BFKL Equation at Subleading Level
نویسنده
چکیده
We study the anomalous dimensions and coefficient functions generated by the BFKL equation in 4 + 2ε dimensions, by investigating both running coupling effects, and the inclusion of the full next-to-leading kernel. After generalising the Fourier representation of the solutions to this case, we analyse the β-dependent renormalisation-group factorisation of anomalous dimension and coefficient contributions to the gluon density. We derive on this basis the normalisation factor of the Q0-scheme with respect to the MS-scheme, including β-dependent corrections to it, and we outline the derivation of the full nextto-leading contributions. We also provide an expression for the resummed γqg in the MS-scheme which exhibits its universality and is explicit up to quadratures.

On factorisation at small x
We investigate factorisation at small x using a variety of analytical and numerical techniques. Previous results on factorisation in collinear models are generalised to the case of the full BFKL equation, and illustrated in the example of a collinear model which includes higher twist terms. Unlike the simplest collinear model, the BFKL equation leads to effective anomalous dimensions containing...
متن کاملThe Bfkl Equation at Next-to-leading Level and beyond *
On the basis of a renormalization group analysis of the kernel and of the solutions of the BFKL equation with subleading corrections, we propose and calculate a novel expansion of a properly defined effective eigenvalue function. We argue that in this formulation the collinear properties of the kernel are taken into account to all orders, and that the ensuing next-to-leading truncation provides...
متن کاملStructure functions and angular ordering at small x 1
We compute the gluon distribution in deep inelastic scattering at small x by solving numerically the angular ordering evolution equation. The leading order contribution , obtained by neglecting angular ordering, satisfies the BFKL equation. Our aim is the analysis of the subleading corrections. Although not complete — the exact next-to-leading contribution is not yet available — these correctio...
متن کاملMinimal Subtraction vs. Physical Factorisation Schemes in Small-x QCD
We investigate the relationship of “physical” parton densities defined by k-factorisation, to those in the minimal subtraction scheme, by comparing their small-x behaviour. We first summarize recent results on the above scheme change derived from the BFKL equation at NLx level, and we then propose a simple extension to the renormalisation-group improved (RGI) equation. In this way we are able t...
متن کاملHigh Energy Resummation in Quantum Chromo–Dynamics
In this thesis I discuss different aspects of high energy resummation in Quantum Chromo-Dynamics and its relevance for precision physics at hadron colliders. The high energy factorisation theorem is presented and discussed in detail, emphasizing its connections with standard factorisation of collinear singularities. The DGLAP and the BFKL equations are presented and leading twist duality relati...
